One Year In, and Just Getting Started
It’s hard to believe that we are already looking back on our very first year of The Busy Box…
What started as a simple idea around the kitchen table has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Over the past year, Busy Boxes have made their way into homes across the country, bringing creativity, storytelling, and hands-on fun to families every single month. Seeing children dive into the activities, follow Boxy’s adventures, and proudly show off their creations has been genuinely humbling.
We will not be sharing numbers, but what we can say is this: the response has been incredible. Subscriptions have grown steadily, families keep coming back, and the feedback we receive reminds us exactly why we started. Parents tell us their children look forward to delivery day. Children tell us Boxy feels like a real friend. That is everything to us.
What We’ve Learned in Year One
The first year has been a whirlwind of learning. We have refined activities, improved packaging, expanded our stories, and listened closely to what families enjoy most. Boxy’s Sticker Quest has evolved into a proper adventure, with chapters that connect, characters that return, and crafts that genuinely feel like part of the story.
We have also loved meeting so many of you in person at markets and events. Watching children spot Boxy from across the room and drag their grown-ups over never gets old.
Most importantly, year one has confirmed something we hoped was true from the beginning. There is a real appetite for creative play that is thoughtful, imaginative, and not rushed.
Fired Up for 2026
If year one was about building foundations, 2026 is about momentum.
We are heading into the new year absolutely fired up. There are new ideas, new tools, bigger stories, and even more ways for children to engage with Boxy’s world. The next chapters of Sticker Quest will raise the stakes, expand the world of Crafteria, and bring even more magic into each box.
We are also working behind the scenes on some exciting long-term projects that go beyond the monthly boxes. Some of these have been quietly in the works for a while, and we cannot wait to start sharing more as the year unfolds.
Looking beyond the box
One of the biggest things on the horizon is our entry into the next season of Dragons’ Den.
Putting yourself forward like that is daunting, exciting, and slightly terrifying all at once, but we truly believe in what we are building. The Busy Box is not just a product. It is a world, a story, and a shared experience for families. If nothing else, it feels like the right moment to take that next bold step.
