    I’m Scott, dad of two, former police sergeant, and now the guy who somehow turned a cardboard box into a storytelling sidekick called Boxy. I started The Busy Box with a simple goal: give kids something hands-on and magical to do that doesn’t involve a screen… and ideally gives parents a moment to drink a hot cup of tea.

    Before launching this, I spent years in frontline roles juggling investigations, paperwork, and caffeine dependency. That world taught me how much we all need support, especially parents trying to keep kids engaged, learning, and off the iPad. So I built something that makes that just a little easier.

    The Busy Box is more than glue sticks and stickers (though yes, we have a lot of both). Each box is part of a bigger adventure, literally. I write the ongoing story behind Boxy’s Sticker Quest myself, weaving in the crafts your kids make so that their creations help drive the plot forward. It’s silly, it’s heartfelt, and I’m slightly too emotionally invested in the characters at this point.

    When I’m not packing boxes or rewriting Gluebert’s dialogue for the fifth time, you’ll find me being bossed around by my daughters, making a fuss of my whippet named Blue, or pretending not to check website analytics at 1am.

    Katie is a mum of two and brings a warm, thoughtful touch to everything we do at The Busy Box. With a psychology degree and a specialism in neurodivergency, she makes sure our activities are not just fun, but also supportive of every child’s unique way of learning and playing. Katie’s passion for inclusive, meaningful experiences helps shape each box into something that sparks joy and builds confidence, for all kinds of little minds.

    Sue is mum to two and a proud grandma of three, and she’s been bringing joy through creativity for as long as anyone can remember. A professional seamstress by trade and a lifelong lover of all things crafty, she’s the hands (and heart) behind much of the magic in our Busy Boxes. From stitching to sticking, Sue’s brilliant ideas and expert touch help bring each box to life, packed with love, fun, and just the right amount of sparkle.

We started The Busy Box with a simple aim, to make magical, screen-free moments for kids, and give parents a little breather in the process. Not hours of prep, not tiny bits of plastic, not crafts that end in tears. Just thoughtful, creative play delivered to your door every month.
