    Scott is the proud dad of two adventurous little girls, aged 2 and 4, who are the daily inspiration behind The Busy Box. With a heart for creativity and a head full of big ideas, Scott created this magical world to bring joy, imagination, and a little learning to everyday play. Whether he’s dreaming up the next sticker quest or assembling boxes with love (and a bit of glitter), Scott is all about making childhood a little more magical—for his girls and yours.

    Katie is a mum of two and brings a warm, thoughtful touch to everything we do at The Busy Box. With a psychology degree and a specialism in neurodivergency, she makes sure our activities are not just fun, but also supportive of every child’s unique way of learning and playing. Katie’s passion for inclusive, meaningful experiences helps shape each box into something that sparks joy and builds confidence—for all kinds of little minds.

  • Craft Queen & Chief Box Assembler

    Sue is mum to two and a proud grandma of three, and she’s been bringing joy through creativity for as long as anyone can remember. A professional seamstress by trade and a lifelong lover of all things crafty, she’s the hands (and heart) behind much of the magic in our Busy Boxes. From stitching to sticking, Sue’s brilliant ideas and expert touch help bring each box to life—packed with love, fun, and just the right amount of sparkle.

We’re a small family-run business with big dreams—and it all started with a couple of curious little girls and a lot of cardboard.

Like many parents, we found ourselves constantly searching for screen-free ways to keep our little ones busy, engaged, and learning through play. After trying countless craft kits and activity boxes, we realised what was missing: something made with real thought, real care, and a big dose of magic. So, we decided to build it ourselves—right at our kitchen table.

That’s how The Busy Box was born.

We’re Scott, Katie and Sue—a husband-and-wife duo with two young daughters and a very crafty grandma in the mix. Together, we pour our hearts into every box, designing imaginative, hands-on adventures that spark creativity and confidence in children aged 1–6. Every activity is carefully created to be fun, age-appropriate, and supportive of early development—because we believe play should be more than just busy work. It should be meaningful, memorable, and magical.

Scott brings the ideas, energy and sticker-filled storytelling that makes each Busy Box feel like an adventure.
Katie, with her background in psychology and neurodivergency, makes sure our boxes are inclusive, supportive, and thoughtful.
And Sue, our resident sewing expert and queen of crafts, helps bring everything together with a homemade touch and a sprinkle of sparkle.

We’re not a big company with factory-made kits—we’re parents and grandparents, just like you, doing our best to create something special.
